Family Photoshoot

A chance to mark milestones, welcome new additions, watch your children grow or bring generations together. There comes a point where the family photo album needs an update and family selfies just don’t quite do it. As a North East family photographer covering North Tyneside, Newcastle, South Tyneside and Northumberland let me capture those wall worthy photos.

During your 1 to 1 and a half hour photoshoot I will make sure to capture all the fun and all the love in a relaxed and low key way. We will work together to find the best way to get little ones laughing and smiling to give the most natural photos. With time for individual portraits, sibling shots, parent and child and whole family photos you will have these memories to always look back at and watch your family grow.

In your pre photoshoot consultation we will talk through exactly what you are looking to capture during your family photoshoot as well as the best outfits for the family that will stand the test of time and not distract from your smiling faces. Simple, light and pastel colours and complimenting outfits provide a timeless look, use items you already have and keep it cohesive without being too matchy-matchy.

At home or on location?

With an at home family photoshoot I can provide a studio feel with use of my backdrop and lights or you could choose a lifestyle photoshoot instead using your home as the backdrop. You don’t need to leave the house, have snacks to hand and easy for outfit changes too if needed.

Here in the North East we are spoilt for choice when it comes to outdoor photoshoot locations. If giving your family the space and freedom to play and enjoy the nature around them sounds like the ideal set up for your family photoshoot I can recommend a range of locations or we could meet at your family’s favourite spot.

You could play in the sand, build sand castles and paddle in the sea at Longsands Beach in Tynemouth, Whitley Bay beach or further up the coast in Embleton, Amble or Druridge Bay perhaps.

Take a family walk along the Quayside taking in all the sights and landmarks of Newcastle.

Or stop by the park surrounded by flowers, trees and spotting ducks at Northumberland Park or Jesmond Dene.

These are just some examples of the great locations we have on our doorstep.
